Weston Vida is your online lifestyle magazine covering Weston, Florida, as well as surrounding Southwest Broward County. Within the site’s pages, you’ll find a celebration of our tropical suburban community — it’s people, events, activities, clubs, organizations, and businesses.
Weston Vida’s mission is to celebrate the life we all love living in Southwest Broward. We do this by creating and maintaining a sense of community; showcasing local businesses, products and services; featuring local residents; providing information to nourish mind, body and soul; and giving back to the community.
Weston Vida’s Owners
Rebecca has been an entrepreneur for the past 13 years, serving as co-owner and vice president of Hydroweld USA, Inc., a global developer and distributor of an underwater welding electrode used extensively throughout the industry. Prior to Hydroweld USA, Inc., Rebecca spent time working in human resources and accounting. She received a B.A. in English from George Washington University.
She was born and raised in the Midwest, growing up near Chicago. Upon graduation from GWU, she began working for Geico in D.C.
After much of my family relocated to Florida, I followed. Once I had sand in my shoes, there was no going back! At this point, I have spent half of my life in Florida!
Rebecca has lived in Weston for nearly 15 years. Currently, in addition to being co-owner of Weston Vida, she is busy with family, work, volunteering, and holding a position on the PTA Executive Board.
I feel such a sense of community here. I love going places in Weston and seeing so many familiar faces! We have a lot to be thankful for here in our community. Weston Vida is a fantastic way to showcase this great place where we live.
Andrea is a marketing communications and branding professional with 20+ years of experience. Her passion is helping organizations continually and strategically evolve their integrated marketing and communications programs to achieve their objectives and missions. Her specialties include brand management, social media, public relations, integrated marketing communications and internal communications programs that align with external communications and HR functions. Currently, she holds responsibility for a global consulting and research firm’s branding and marketing communications functions. Andrea holds an M.A. in English from the University of Miami, a B.A. in English from Florida International University, and a B.S. in Journalism/Telecommunications from the University of Florida.
A native Floridian, Andrea grew up in Miami. When she was starting her family, she had the opportunity to relocate to the Northeast and then Texas for several years. However, she always longed to move back to Florida. When her family had the chance, they jumped at it.
Moving away for several years, made me realize what a wonderful and special place South Florida is – I never stopped missing the weather, flora and fauna, and cultural diversity.
She has lived with her family in Weston for almost nine years.
We love it here – the focus on family, healthy living and fun. Weston Vida is a way to “share the love” and help maintain what’s special about our community.

Patricia is a freelance copywriter dedicated to creating all of the marketing materials her clients need to help their businesses grow and succeed. Her company, About The Words, LLC, specializes in blogging, website content, brochures, email blasts and social media campaigns, all critical components of a successful business in today’s world.
She has been a Weston resident for the last five years, with two children at Eagle Point Elementary. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, she has lived all over the world and finally ended up in Florida, where she loves the weather and the people she has met and worked with since her arrival. When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying her family and friends or playing tennis at Midtown Athletic Club.
